Refusing to Negotiate with Graduate Workers

Powerful interests will use every possible tool to prevent workers from having a collective voice. Despite recent obstacles, graduate student workers across the country are winning change. Our peers at NYU, Brandeis, Tufts and American have worked with their administrations to come to come to an agreement. Harvard, Columbia and Georgetown will soon have contracts too.

At Loyola, we were the first graduate workers in the Midwest to win a National Labor Relations Board election and certification. Yet two years later, our administration is still refusing to agree to a fair contract, trapping graduate workers in poor working conditions for the majority of their careers.

It’s time for Loyola to value the work of its graduate workers. Sign this petition calling on Loyola to come to an agreement with its graduate workers and live up to its Jesuit values.
