Reigniting the Mission: A Survey of Jesuit Faculty in Higher Education

There are over 218,000 students and 20,000 faculty members who study and work at 28 Jesuit institutions across the United States. Once a middle-class job, nearly a majority of college and university faculty are now working part-time for very low pay, isolated from colleagues without job security, benefits or even office space.

Catholic schools are not immune from these trends, with many colleges and universities increasingly relying on a contingent faculty workforce while shifting resources away from instruction. To help inform faculty about improvements needed on Jesuit campuses, we invite you to take part in a confidential survey about your working conditions.

The survey should only take 5 to 10 minutes to complete. All information you provide will be treated as confidential. Your responses will be combined with those of other respondents and reported anonymously and in the aggregate. Your email and contact information will not be shared.
