Faculty at Boston University Vote to Form Union
From the Boston Globe:
“Part-time professors at Boston University voted Wednesday to unionize, joining adjunct faculty at other Boston-area schools in a nationwide push to increase workplace rights for the instructors who play an increasingly important role in higher education.
According to a news release from the Service Employees International Union Local 509, which will represent the BU adjuncts, a group of more than 750 part-time professors voted to join the union by a margin of 2-1.”
