DAY 1: Ahead of the primaries, adjunct professors, students, fast food workers and community members held a kick-off rally for the Florida-wide #FreeCollegeNow Tour.
The Orlando event was hosted by the Classroom Teachers Association and attended by supportive local leaders, including House Representatives and/or candidates Anna Eskamani (District 47), Amy Mercado (District 48), and Carlos G. Smith (District 49). Disney workers fresh off their victory in the fight for $15 also attended.
The group is traveling from city-to-city by bus with the goal of mobilizing voters in support of their demands for tuition-free college, student loan forgiveness and $15 and a union for all campus employees.
